Chris Stallman, MLS, MS, CGC
Chris Stallman is a genetic counselor who received a master’s degree in human genetics from the Joan H. Marks Graduate Program in Human Genetics at Sarah Lawrence College in 2011. They are also a graduate of the UArizona James E. Rogers College of Law with a master’s in legal studies focused on health law and policy. Stallman specializes in prenatal genetic counseling, exposure information, health literacy, and ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI). They joined MotherToBaby Arizona in 2015 and were appointed Program Coordinator in 2018. Stallman has worked with University of Arizona Genetic Counseling Graduate Program (UAGCGP) since its revival in 2016, and was appointed Program Director in 2023.
Stallman provides education to medical students, residents, and other allied health professionals as well as the community. She has been a part of the Organization of Teratology Information Specialists since 2010 and has been involved with several organizational projects, including hosting the MotherToBaby podcast. Stallman has been instrumental in the production and maintenance of the MotherToBaby fact sheets that are now archived in the National Library of Medicine. She is a member of the National Society of Genetic Counselors and the Society for Birth Defects Research and Prevention.
